Participants in this study will learn about the themes of perseverance, courage, and faithfulness in the face of persecution and false teachings, as seen in 2 Timothy 3:1–4:22. They will explore Paul's warnings of the difficult times to come and his exhortation to Timothy to remain steadfast in his faith. Through examining these passages, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to stand firm in perilous times and how to do so with the help of the Holy Spirit. They will also reflect on how they can be more faithful and courageous witnesses for Christ, even in the face of challenges, and how to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide them.
