In this study of Philemon, participants will learn about the themes of reconciliation and transformation as seen in Paul's encouragement to Philemon to receive his runaway slave, Onesimus, back not as a slave but as a brother in Christ. They will gain a deeper understanding of the power of the Gospel to transform lives and bring about reconciliation and restoration in relationships. Participants will be challenged to seek reconciliation and restoration in their own relationships and to trust in the power of the Gospel to transform their lives and the lives of those around them.

They will learn about how Paul encourages Philemon to show love and forgiveness towards his runaway slave, Onesimus, and how this love is a reflection of the love of Christ. Through examining these passages, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to love others as Christ loves us. They will also reflect on how they can apply this love to their own lives and relationships.
