Tips for Group Study
The Gospel of John study is designed for small groups! Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your group study:
- Although each lesson is independent, it is recommended that you complete the lessons in the order presented. Select the specific lesson for your group study and provide participants with the lesson handout.
- Encourage participants to read and study the lesson, answering as many questions as possible ahead of your small group meeting.
- Open your small group meeting in prayer, asking God to open your hearts and minds to what He has to teach you about integrating your faith into your life through this lesson.
- Based on the amount of time you have available, guide your group through answering as many questions in the study as possible. Be sure to save time to focus on a discussion of the APPLY IT questions!
- Although many of the APPLY IT questions relate to life in general, try to keep the application discussion focused on how we can integrate our faith in our lives.
