Understand It

The Return to Nazareth -- Matthew 2:19-23
Understand It
- Where were Joseph, Mary, and Jesus at the time? (2:19)
- What did the angel tell Joseph to do? (2:20)
- What was the reason behind the angel’s command? (2:20)
Apply It
- What specific act of kindness can you do this week for a new family in your neighborhood?
John the Baptist Prepares the Way -- Matthew 3:1-2
Understand It
- What was John’s message? (3:2)
- How did people receive John’s message? (3:5)
- What harsh name did John call the religious leaders? Why? (3:7-10)
Apply It
- What first step could you take toward obeying God better today?
The Baptism of Jesus -- Matthew 3:13-17
Understand It
